The weather wasn't at it's best, which was usual for this town it seemed. It was either always raining, or windy, or frosty, or cloudy. In a way it made Emma feel at home- it reminded her of England. This wasn't England, though. Oh, how she wished it was! None of this would have happened. None. She would have her mother, and her father when he wasn't out training or working. She would have her life back. This wasn't a life... Sleeping on park benches, or in the ATM part of bank buildings so she could stay out of the rain. Today, it wasn't too bad- slightly windy, and it would probably rain later that night. She'd become an expert on meteorology- one has to when they live in the elements.
Today Emma decided she would go to the coffee shop, and see if she could get herself a sandwich or two... or three... or four. She hadn't eaten yet. The last thing she had was the last half of a pizza shed gotten a few days ago, and had made it last for those long two days. That was a hard two days. She carried that box around with her everywhere, lest it be stolen by another hungry person or one of those vicious animals that seemed to be ruling the parks. Maybe rabies was going around... Whatever it was, it was all very frightening. The park was her least-favorite place to sleep.
The young, teenage girl sat herself down at a small table. She wore a dirty grey muscle shirt, some blue-jeans that were cut off at the calf, and her very dirty old shoes. Her dark hair was greasy, and in need of a wash, but was held up nice enough in a pony-tail. Through the dirt, and the old clothes, and that fearful look in her eyes, she was still the same beautiful, fun-loving girl that she was a week ago. Only a week ago... It seemed much longer than that to Emma. It seemed like she'd been homeless for years, and years.
As she sat at the table a few people glanced at her. Some with annoyance, others with pity. An old lady and her husband in the far corner looked at her in a way that made Emma hope for a meal today. Perhaps they would supply her with some nourishment. Just a little nourishment for her to force through just one more day... one more day and maybe everything would be better. Maybe tomorrow would be the day when her mother comes and picks her up, and takes her away from this horrible place...

He glanced out the large window pane, everything was grey and dismal. The rain wasn’t falling all that hard but the wind had picked up to make the day just a drag. His golden eyes went back to his computer screen, it was blank. Damn he thought bitterly, his whole day, no, week’s worth of work was gone. Marcou would be disappointed and Cassandra beyond infuriated. His fingers frantically tapped at the keyboard trying to bring it back to life, to no avail. He let out a sigh and his tummy grumbled. With a glance to the watch on his wrist he realized he had missed breakfast . . . and lunch . . . The teen stood, placing his laptop carefully on the plush chair behind him. As he walked to the counter his hand reached for his wallet.
The girl behind the counter was new, and very cute. Her name was Andris and was niece to Tyson, the man who owned the place. Hello, Andris. he said with a flirtatious smile. Hi, she answered. She couldn’t remember his name but he didn’t care. She was unbelievably adorable. He ordered a small coffee and a bagel, small but sufficient. The girl’s eyes watered, their focus behind Kid and on another teen. This one was new, very new, he himself hadn’t seen her around at all. She wore ragged, dirty clothes and looked to be starving. Kid refocused on Andris, pulling out his credit card to pay.
Taking the bag and Styrofoam cup, he went back to his chair. He began munching quietly on the bagel, watching the girl while pretending to work on his computer. He didn’t know why, but she reminded him of one of his old toys. It had been a puppy, a really cute and soft puppy. He had carried it everywhere with him, they were inseparable. One day he and the puppy found a mud puddle and began to play for hours in it. His mother was furious with him and took the toy puppy away, setting it on a high counter. Everyday Kid would look at the abandoned pup and cry softly. It looked so dejected, alone.
Kid continued to watch the girl, contemplating whether or not to go over and chat.

(The admin has given me permission to rp with Andrew even know he’s not approved yet.)
Today had been weird for Andrew….the weather was good for ounce and Andrew was walking on his paws to avoid people from freaking out from his appearance. The last few days have been hell for him, he has been hungry, unable to sleep, and put into many fights……also he had been trying to adapt to his new life.
Andrew had been walking through the park watching people talk and play, he could hear them but not talk back, Andrew was beginning to go into depression from the lack of friends and the dramatizing stuff that had happened to him. Ever know and then a small child would come up to pet him….it would have made Andrew happy but every time they would get close someone would yell at them.
Andrew didn’t look his best while he was walking down the parks sidewalk….his hair was sticking up, he smelled bad, and his teeth were disgusting, plus you could see his rids from his starvation and everywhere he went he was always panting. In addition, he has scratches all over his body from fights he had gotten in from trying to take food from other dogs and animals.
Then Andrew picked up a very large smell of food and started to look for the source…somehow he had stumbled onto a food store….Andrew hated being in public places, the only reason he was in the park is because there wasn’t many people….but the city was a whole different story. But then he saw her. A girl that looked like a old rag doll. Then he smelled pizza in her direction. For some reason he wasn’t afraid of her so he quickly walked over to her still on his paws and started to lick her hand with his dry tough.

The dirty teen felt the eyes of several people on her back. She tried to ignore it all, as if she didn't notice. This seemed to work the best when begging for food- begging for help. Oh how far she'd falled. She nearly laughed at herself in her misery. Begging! A soldiers daughter. She briefly invisioned herself before she moved to this stupid town, before her father went missing, before her mother lost her sanity. She sniffed and stifled a tear, then looked up briefly, her eyes meeting that of a boy about her age. She stopped herself from making a snide comment, and telling him to mind his own damn business. She wanted food, and she would hold her tongue for the sake of nourishment.
She felt a cold nose on her hand, and then a warm lick quickly after that. The poor girl nearly jumped out of her skin! What the hell! Her hand grasping her chest, her lungs moving quickly, she looked down at some poor mutt with a horrified expression on her face. With a sigh she smiled and set her hand lightly n the dog's flappy ear. The poor thing was all matted. He needed a bath, too. Poor thing, she though to herself, I guess I'm not the only one around here looking for some scraps.
She was a very jumpy person, as you might now realise. Anything unexpected would make her jump and lose her breath. She could stare at someone for an hour, and then they could suddenly say 'BOO!' And she'd probably pass out. She hated being so jumpy, but she couldn't help it. She also couldn't help the rose that was hinting into her cheeks while that boy across the waywatched her. He pitied her, she could tell. Maybe he'd pity her enough to give her some of that bagel. Her stomache ached at the very thought of eating that delicious, moist bagel... Maybe he'd even give her some soup, and some sandwiches to last her a few more days. She glanced at the boy, then returned her gaze to the loveable little dog in need of some love, and continued to scratch behind his left ear.

Andrew was very confused at this person…she looked shocked at him and sad…but also happy at the same time. But at the most part she was staring at a man….or maybe the food Andrew could not tell and she was rubbing a scar near his left ear. It irritated him but it mad him happy at the same time, having someone to confert him.
Andrew was painting heavily and was very thirsty, but he could not see a source of water anywhere and he wanted to stay with this strange girl. After a minute or two Andrew had his focus on the man the girl was staring at….it seemed like Andrew had meet him before….maybe a bum or some man on the street. Or could it be a man from Andrews past, when he was human….Whatever it was Andrew had a bad feeling but was not going to do anything about it.

Although his focus was truly on his computer screen now, he couldn’t help but to think about that girl. She was very pretty and clearly hungry. His left eye looked longingly at the wrapper of his long-since-gone bagel. Delicious, he thought. And it was, the bagel just melted in his mouth. *blink blip falsh!* the computer’s previously black screen was now flashing irratically added with a few, to say the least, odd noises. Great. Kid murmured, no one heard him, just him and the computer. But what was the computer going to do? Shoot him? He laughed at this, his hands reaching for the screen and closing it with a soft click.
Before he knew what he was doing he was in front of the Andris again. What do you want? she asked bitterly, for some reason she all of a sudden despised the teen. Hrmm… his eyes scanned the boards for something inexpensive. Three bagels, those extra soft ones- Like you had earlier? she interrupted. Yes, like those. So three of those and two warm waters…and a bowl of warm water. She looked puzzled at the request of a bowl but complied none the less. After saying thanks he made his way towards the girl and the dog. Good thing he had noticed it before he got to Andris, consciously it totally slipped his mind.
Warm water and a large, soft bagel. A delicious meal, but would she like it? Kid had a feeling it didn’t matter. Warm water, so soothing. It wasn’t nasty warm or boiling hot, and definitely not freezing, just a simple, soothing liquid. He neared the two beings then slightly veered off. What if they didn’t want company? Before he could think about it too much his feet made a bee line for them. The teen pulled out a chair and sat down, the tray with the waters in one hand and the bag of bagels on the table. Hello, may I sit with yall? I brought something, he said, adding a soft, kind smile. He didn’t hand out the food, as he wanted to see their reactions first.

Andrew noticed The man say something to his computer....he wasn't paying much attention so he could not tell what it was....but then the man bought more food and walked over to him and the girl. Andrew was already panting but the crewing of the new scent mad him breath harder and he was losing the rest of the moister in his already dry mouth.
When the man came he didn't pay much attention to Andrew but more the girl....Andrew still had his bad feeling about him but Andrew was starting to doubt his feelings, he could not tell anything wrong with this nice man except his ....maybe if Andrew was nice back he could get some food....or at least Andrew can hope so.
After a few seconds a burst of wind came, blowing the smell away and Andrew got a good smell of the man…. He remembered the man…at some place it was the first person he saw as what he is now. Ether this man knew what happened to Andrew or he found Andrew somewhere and helped him Andrew could not tell. All Andrew could do now is sit there and wait, if any thing seemed any wronged then he would run.
